People get readyThere’s a train a-comingYou don’t need no baggageYou just get on boardAll you need is faithTo hear the diesels hummingDon’t need no ticketYou just thank the Lord

–

People get readyFor the train to JordanPicking up passengersFrom coast to coastFaith is the keyOpen the doors and board themThere’s room for allAmong the loved the most

–

There ain’t no roomFor the hopeless sinnerWho would hurt all mankind justTo save his ownHave pity on thoseWhose chances are thinnerCause there’s no hiding placeFrom the Kingdom’s Throne

–

So people get readyFor the train a-comin’You don’t need no baggageYou just get on boardAll you need is faithTo hear the diesels hummingDon’t need no ticketYou just thank, you just thank the Lord
